The HJC RPHA 91 is a modular helmet designed by HJC for all-day riding comfort. This premium touring helmet is the successor to the HJC RPHA 90 and is improved, according to HJC, on the visor, chin bar, and noise reduction. The RPHA 91 is tested according to the new strict ECE 22.06 and is P/J certified, which allows riding with the chin bar open.
Material
HJC RPHA 91 is made of Premium Integrated Matrix EVO, which is a combination of multiple layers of Carbon-aramid, Carbon fiber, Fiberglass, organic non-woven fabric, and natural fiber. This method of making fiberglass helmets improved the shock-resistance feature and made the helmet lighter by using reinforced materials.
The HJC RPHA 91 comes in 6 sizes and 4 outer shell sizes. The more outer shell sizes a helmet has, the better. A smaller outer shell ensures a better fit and safer, and a compact helmet also looks better.
Visor
The HJC RPHA 91 comes with a clear HJ-37 visor, which is prepared for a Pinlock 120 lens and included in the box. The Pinlock lens ensures that the visor doesn't fog up while riding, keeping the rider's view clear at all times.
This motorcycle helmet from HJC comes with a visor locking system. This push-and-release system prevents the visor from opening accidentally. It consists of a small black lever on the side of the visor that riders can push forward to open the visor.
The RPHA 91 also has an integrated sun visor that is anti-fog treated. The sun visor functions as a pair of sunglasses that will protect the rider's eyes from UV. This sun visor can be adjusted in depth to provide an even better fit for different head shapes. Riders can adjust the sun visor 5mm and 10mm forward compared to the standard position. The sun visor can be put up and down by the slider on the side of the helmet.
Comfort
The RPHA 91's inner lining is 3D-engineered, removable, washable, and antibacterial. It reduces wind and noise while riding. The advanced antibacterial lining is better at wicking moisture and has a quick-dry function, ensuring that the helmet will not have any unwanted smells.
The cheek pads are interchangeable for custom fitting. This can be done for all sizes, and riders will get the perfect fit for the helmet.
Features
The HJC RPHA 91's chin bar has some great features. It is P/J certified, so riders can ride with the chin bar open. HJC has put a lock in the helmet that allows riders to lock the chin bar and ride with it open more safely. This ensures that the chin bar won't close unnecessarily, so riders can focus more on riding.
When the chin bar is open, it retracts to make it easier to put on. In addition, the lock of the chin bar hides automatically in the open position.
The helmet also has an Emergency Quick Release, a big safety feature that allows the helmet to be removed safely and easily in case something happens. The HJC RPHA 91 has a micro-metric closure system.
The HJC RPHA 91 is also prepared for the SMART HJC 50B communication or SMART HJC 21B Communication system. These communication systems are fully integrated when mounted on the helmet. Because they are fully integrated, you will have a good weight balance, and there is no sacrifice in aerodynamics. And it will also look better. HJC has put grooves inside the helmet so riders can wear their glasses while riding.
