Shoei RF-1400 Marquez American Spirit Helmet
SHOEI's RF line has a rich heritage, dating back nearly four decades. Always focused on innovation, SHOEI released the 1400 model in 2021. This road riding helmet was tested in SHOEI's wind tunnel facility, where aerodynamics and ventilation were examined and refined. Six air intake and four exhaust vents are designed to keep your head cool, while upward lift and drag were reduced in comparison to its predecessor, the RF-1200.
A new, airtight window beading offers a wind and waterproof seal of the shield. A clear view and protection against the sun's damaging UV rays is also provided by the CWR-F2 shield, and the release button is located in the center of the helmet for a smooth lift.
Multiple layers of fiberglass, along with a dual-layer, multi-density EPS liner are engineered to deliver protection during impact, and the exclusive Max-Dry interior material absorbs and dispels sweat two times faster than conventional nylon interiors. The liner is also removeable and washable. Weighing 3 pounds 10 ounces, this Snell M2020D and DOT approved helmet is available in multiple colors and graphics.

- X-Fourteen Data: Drag = 8.8% reduction; Lift = 3.5% reduction; Yawing = 52.4% reduction.
- All-new center locking mechanism reduces risk of accidental openings during high-speed riding.
- Redesigned base plate system boasts smoother shield opening and closure.
- New shield adjuster for easier, more precise tuning.
- All-new window beading reduces wind and water intrusion.
- New, 10% larger DKS-304 PINLOCK EVO lens system improves lateral field of vision thanks to relocated pins outside of the eyeport.
- Ventilation Performance:
- Additional air intake hole in the center / forehead vent improves cool air intake.
- Enlarged exhaust outlet vents improve hot air expulsion.
- A total of six (6) air intakes (two lower, two front, two upper) and four (4) outlets.
- 3D Max-Dry Interior System II:
- Newly designed cheek pads feature more volume on the bottom for greater comfort and reduced wind noise.
- Max-Dry material absorbs and dissipates sweat 2X faster than traditional nylon.
- Soft yet durable lower cheek pad fabric for a plush fit and feel.
- E.Q.R.S. allows emergency medical personnel to easily and safely remove cheek pads from an injured rider's helmet.
- Noise Reduction:
- Advanced shell aerodynamics and all-new, air-tight shield system reduce unwanted wind and road noises.
- New window beading reduces wind and water intrusion.
- All-new, voluminous cheek pads and removable ear pads further restrain wind noise.
- Safety Standards:
- Note: The Shoei RF-1400 ships with a Clear faceshield and uses the Shoei CWR-F2 Shield for upgrade or replacement.
